The Season of Gratitude
As Thanksgiving approaches, we are reminded that there is so much to be grateful for. At MAR, gratitude is more than a feeling, it’s a practice. We express it by planting trees, cleaning beaches, removing invasive species, and ultimately by creating space for people to reconnect with nature, themselves, and each other. Every act of care that restores balance between people and the planet is an act of gratitude; for when we give back to the Earth, we are not just healing our environment, but also renewing our sense of belonging.
This season, we are especially grateful for the community that makes our mission of regeneration possible. Every person who volunteers, donates, and shares our mission plays a valuable role in our collective effort to restore Tampa Bay’s ecosystems and strengthen our connection to nature.
The Gift of Giving Back
We invite you to join us in celebrating the spirit of gratitude through giving. On November 18, we will be launching our Giving Tuesday campaign: a month-long effort to raise funds for our mission of connecting people back to the planet.
Your support helps us continue creating spaces where both can heal together. Thanks to an operations grant covering all administrative costs, 100% of your donation will go directly to making our vision of regeneration a reality. By donating, you support the creation of new projects and events that remind us we are part of, not apart from, the natural world.
All donations over $50 made on Tuesday, November 18 (the first day of the campaign) will receive a limited-edition MAR Florida Native Plants Postcard, our way of saying thank you for supporting our mission and vision of regeneration.
Gratitude Into Action
Gratitude connects us to one another. It reminds us that regeneration doesn’t happen in isolation, but grows through community and collective care for the places that we all call home. When we give to nature, we receive something in return: inspiration, belonging, and balance. All actions we take for our environment, no matter how small, become part of something larger, a living network of regeneration that connects us to one another and to the land.
Imagine what we can achieve together: cleaner coastlines, thriving wetlands, flourishing trees, and communities deeply rooted in care for the land that they call home. Every contribution brings our vision closer to life.
This Giving Tuesday, let’s give thanks through action, and grow our gratitude into something that lasts. Stay tuned on our website, email, and social media for ways you can give starting November 18th and be part of a movement to restore our environment and local communities.
