Regenerate Rx

A regenerative path to wellness

Regenerate your wellbeing in the midst of nature

At Take MAR we believe healthy people create healthy environments & healthy environments create healthy people

Let’s start with us.

Regenerate Rx Retreat is a 3-day immersion in nature with different modalities including: wilderness therapy, wholesome food nutrition, yoga and meditation, sound healing, bodywork, cold therapy, regenerative agriculture education and community.

Our research shows that past participants experienced significant reduction in anxiety and depression symptomatology. A 92.3% reduction in anxiety and 84.6% in depressive symptoms. They also reported an increased ability for emotional regulation regarding energy, balance, happiness, and calm.

  • Our vision is big, and it’s a world where nature can be prescribed. That’s why we’ve coined our retreats “Regenerate Rx”. Our aim is to help our clients with stress, anxiety, depression, and even PTSD using the healing powers of nature. If you’re not already familiar, you’ll learn of the growing body of knowledge emerging from the practice of nature therapy, and get to be a part of this project. If you consent, you will be a part of a research project, through pre-retreat and post-retreat analysis forms, which will inform our research to analyze if nature heals!

Our vision is that natural healing is accessible and available to everyone.

Oftentimes, prescriptions for anxiety, depression, PTSD, autoimmune disorders, inflammatory diseases and other maladies are given, and it is our goal/mission to provide a path for nature to be prescribed as well (whether as a substitute, or supporting alternative). That's why we've coined our program “Regenerate Rx”

Take MAR and The Cicada Institute are partnering to bring the Regenerate Rx Retreat program to historically marginalized communities in the central west-coast area of Florida (Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, and Citrus County).

About Take MAR

Our focus is connecting people with nature as a means to improving physical and mental health as well as creating more pro environmental behaviors.

Since our inception in late 2022, we have cultivated a network of over 200+ volunteers, hosted just under 100 events, picked up thousands of pounds of trash from our community, and planted over 300 native trees. We believe healthy people create healthy environments, and healthy environments create healthy people, so we approach the opportunity of regeneration encompassing social, health, and environmental modalities.

About Cicada Institute

The Cicada Institute's mission is to provide BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ youth the comprehensive holistic development they deserve based on the principles of empowerment, environmental activism, multi-generational wisdom, community service and psychological self-regulation. By working with, listening to, and supporting youth, Cicada offers students authentic agency to lead their own growth; build long-term, sustainable and resilient communities, and combat the effects of climate change through critical thinking and innovative problem-solving. The Cicada Institute envisions vibrant, resilient, connected and empowered students who will shift the paradigm of educational capitalism, social injustice and climate change toward a more peaceful, just and sustainable world.
